A Santa Monica Beach Wedding | Jonathan Club {Erin & Bobby}
Erin & Bobby were very happily married on the beach at their Santa Monica athletic club, The Jonathan Club. Woohooo! A huge congrats to them.
Everything about this wedding was gorgeous. Erin’s dress was the most fun & unique of 2010 for me to photograph. Her dress is a nice reflection on who she is on the inside and out. Erin is genuine, sweet and FUN…. and, so is Bobby. When they look at each other, I really can see that glimmer of adoring love in their eyes (I know, I am sounding soppy and cheesy, but it’s true and why hold back!). It’s truly admirable! My favorite part of the day was stealing them away right after the ceremony for the sweet light on the beach. They both are marathon runners, and so it was their wish to run carefree, hand-in-hand, on the beach on their wedding day. It was perfect!
The party was a blast. They didn’t do conventional dinner tables with assigned seating. Instead they arranged the reception in a swanky, beach cocktail-lounge style with tall bar style tables & white couches and love seats on the beach surrounded by romantic candles. It was cool and everyone seemed to really enjoy it. And, their amazing DJ’s always kept the dance floor bumping.
I could continue writing more and more about what an amazing wedding this was to shoot, but I’ll spare this white space & start adding my favorite photos from their wedding. Beware: there are 90 below! Wowsers.
Also, a special thanks to my assistant & 2nd shooter, Kara Snider, and to all of the fabulous vendors (listed below) who helped make Erin & Bobby’s wedding a dream come true for them!

Smiling in the Rain while Seeing Double!?! {Family shoot}
It’s pretty rare to have rainy days in Los Angeles, however on October 19th, we had rain and I had a photoshoot! Considering that I am from one of the rainiest city’s ever (SEATTLE), I knew what to do. Originally, it was going to be an all outdoor photoshoot, but due to the rain, we moved inside their home… a blessing in disguise! The upstairs recording studio had amazing window light to work with and I took full advantage of that! And, of course, we used umbrellas in their backyard! Perfect rainy day props, if you ask me. Near the end of our shoot, the rain did stop and we managed to capture a few outdoor non-umbrella shots too.
And, no, you aren’t seeing double….. 6 year olds, Ashleigh & Brooke (baby A & baby B), are adorable identical twins! And, their older brother, Mason, was a true sport.
Here are my favorite shots from this family session. I hope you enjoy!
Engagement Session with their adorable baby {Angel & Denton}
It was so great finally meeting Angel & Denton! We met at St. Francis Episcopal Church in beautiful Palos Verdes Estates, CA. Our photo session was a lot of fun. Their new baby, Carter, participated happily as I captured the love they for each other. The play of light & colors was fantastic and we had great backdrops to work with.
I am looking forward to photographing their wedding in 8 days! Here are my favorite shots from our session. Hope you enjoy!
Twins: Brotherly Love
I had the pleasure to photograph twin brothers, Tyler & Andrew a few weeks ago. They have radiant personalities and get along so well! This was a very fun shoot. Hope you enjoy my favorite selects from this session. Thanks for looking
Modern Ranch Wedding | Leavenworth, WA | {Brooke + Jake}
Congratulations to Brooke & Jake! They had a fabulous and fun wedding in Eastern Washington near the Bavarian town of Leavenworth at a gorgeous venue called Pine River Ranch. The ceremony was sweet, the toasts were heartfelt and funny, and the dancing went into the late hours. EVERYONE had a blast!

Tuscany Italy Wedding *sneak peeks*
I couldn’t resist pulling a few photos from my latest international wedding in Florence, Italy. Photographing Jenn & Ben’s wedding at Villa Vorno (Castle dated approx. 1000 AD) was seriously a dream come true for me. Words can’t express how excited I am to showcase the rest of their wedding in a few weeks.

Under the Sea {Max's 1st Birthday Party}
Max turned ONE and I feel honored to have captured all the emotions and details of this fabulous “Under the Sea” themed birthday party! It’s been an amazing 1 year journey for Max and for his parents, Rebecca & Zack. I was there for his newborn photo session and have captured many other stages in his 1 year of life with the “Year in a Life of a Baby” series I offer.
Rebecca & Zack, really out did themselves with the handcrafted decorations and food. From the blue Octopus cake, shark-shaped cupcakes, hand-made shark photobooth, to fun water toys, bubbles, popular sandbox, and their close friends and family, it was a very fun event!
Happy Birthday, Max!
