A Nautical Wedding {Liz & Casey}
August 14th, 2010 was an awesome day. Liz & Casey got married! They chose a beautiful venue on Whidbey Island in Washington State called Captain Whidbey Inn. They have a love for the water, boats and fishing, so they chose to have a nautical theme.
Their first glance was at Fort Casey Lighthouse. We had sunshine and blue skies all around and their excitement for seeing each other was contagious.
The ceremony was unique and super cool. Casey, the groom, and his boys, left out on a ‘pirate’ boat an hour prior the ceremony. Right before the ceremony began, the guys sailed in and the guests were standing in anticipation. Tiger Budbill, the rockin’ DJ, cued the Pirates of Carribean theme song, ““Yo Ho, Yo HO! A pirates life for me.” It was perfect! Liz looked ravishing as she walked down the isle and the entire ceremony was so heartfelt. They had their guests fill out notes of wisdom to put in a large glass jar so Casey and Liz can read at a later time. Think, “Message in a Bottle!” So creative.
A special thanks to my awesome photography assistant, Alex Grümmer!
Overall, I had a fabulous time capturing Liz & Casey’s wedding! Congrats you two. I wish you a lifetime of love, friendship and happiness.
