Inspirational Sadee Whip | Founder of SuperNatural Energy Balls!
During my last visit to Seattle, I had the honor of photographing the CEO/Founder of SuperNatural Energy Balls, Sadee Whip. She is beautiful, vivacious and is a big inspiration to me! I whole-heartily love her business and have been using her products for a few months. I have seen great results and couldn’t recommend them more to those who want to THRIVE in life. They give you heaps of natural energy and they even help with weight loss if your body needs it. Basically, they are “remarkable, synergistic, cellular nutrition” and I think everyone could benefit from them! Check out her site –> here.
Here are Sadee’s top 5 selects from our wonderful photo session:
Lauren – A New York Professional
Lauren travels a lot for her work and has visited Los Angeles a few times. This time around she decided to book a shoot with me for headshots! So, we went to my favorite place to shoot them- the Venice Beach neighborhood. It was a bit windy outside, but managed to find some cool alley ways where the breeze wasn’t so bad. It was a great shoot and I am so happy that Lauren loves her new headshots!
Here are her top 7 favorites:
Yoga with Jen Ahn
Jen is in the works of building a holistic/wellness business which will include yoga. She was a guest at a wedding I recently shot and she got in touch with me shortly afterwards to schedule a photo shoot of her own. I feel so lucky to have met her! You can take her wonderful classes in Torrance, CA at Celebrate Life.
Since yoga and photography are in the top of my favorite things to do, this shoot was especially a lot of fun for me! Here are a few of our favorite shots:
Mike – Actor Headshots
I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing actor, Mike Oganyan, last week in Venice Beach. He recently moved back to Los Angeles from Arizona and is wholeheartedly pursuing his acting carreer. He is driven and excited for what is to come. These headshots were his first step in making it all happen. I feel fortunate he chose me as his photographer.
Here are our favorite shots from the photo session.
In-studio with Mary | Character acting headshots
Last week, Mary came to my home studio to shoot her character, acting headshots! It was a ton of fun getting out my studio lights again. Most of my headshot sessions are done outdoors, so this was a very cool change for me.
Between the two of us, we styled (makeup and hair!) and and shot her 3 character looks:
1. Drama 2. School Teacher/ Receptionist 3. Goth girl/Vampire
Check out her acting website here!
Between her manager, agent, Mary and myself, here are our top 8 final images! Thanks for looking.
Photographing the Photographer and Vice Versa
A few weeks ago, fellow photographer friend, Nicole Raine, came down to Los Angeles from Seattle to attend a photography conference. She stayed with me for the weekend and we decided to go out to Venice Beach to photograph each other. To have fun. To experiment. To let loose. As much as I don’t completely enjoy being in front of the camera lens, I find it very useful so I can empathize with my clients better. It was a FUN shoot… thanks to the wonderful, Nicole Raine and the excitement of Venice Beach.
Here are some of our favorite shots from each other’s sessions. The turquoise backdrop (ie. gritty wall a block from Venice Beach) was PERFECT as it’s Nicole Raine’s ‘happy color!’ The images I shot of her are posted first (woah — her eyes rock!). As you scroll down, you will see the photos that she took of me. To see her thoughtful insight on our shoot, click to her blog HERE.

Lacee's Fashion Shoot
A team of us ventured the artistic, cool, eclectic, gritty alley ways of Venice Beach to capture the essence and beauty of Lacee. We rocked it! A big thanks to Makeup/Hair artist, Krystal Melton and to my assistant, Amanda Rynda.
Here are just a few of the top selects from our session.
Headshots w/ Stacy {SK Wedding Event & Design}
Yesterday, the talented & sweet wedding planner, Stacy Kvam with SK Wedding Event & Design, and I strolled the streets of downtown Seattle. The goal was to capture fresh, clean, modern, fun headshots, and I think we nailed it!
Here are some of our favorites from our fun session.
High School Senior Headshots with Max
Max has been a very popular name in my photography world. In the last 6 months, I have photographed a Maximillian, Maximus, Maxfield and Maxwell all ranging from 14 days old to 30 years old!
Below are photos during my latest senior highschool portrait session, with Max[well]. We had a great time. I loved playing with colors, light and textures. This photoshoot was in Max’s backyard in Seattle. The fall leaves were pretty much perfect.
As you’ll see, Max is an avid golfer. He’s on the varsity team at Shorewood High School in Seattle, WA. His plan is play golf in college. Good luck!
Have a great rest of your senior year!
All About You Bootcamp with Elaine & Narina
The amazing trainers & co-owners of All About You! Wellness Bootcamp asked me to take some headshots and, well, we got lots of great, action shots in our session too. Little bit of yoga, kickboxing, resistance training, football, pilates and more. I had a great time catpuring them at a lovely park in La Cresenta, CA. We had open blue skies and nice, green grass. It’s so pretty up there…. and to imagine this park is only a stone throw away from Downtown Los Angeles.. well, sort of.
A little about All About you! Wellness Bootcamp (taken straight from their sweet website): “AAY is a unique fitness boot camp that addresses all aspects of your well-being. Each session is designed to challenge you at your own fitness level and to leave you feeling energized and revitalized.”
This statement of theirs is VERY true. I need to start going myself. I’ve gone to 2 weeks of their bootcamp and I felt stronger and healthier with more energy during that time. It was awesome. If you are near the La Cresenta or Glendale areas, I would definitely recommend checking out their website for further details! GO, GO, GO, GO….
Elaine & Narina ~ I’ll see you in Bootcamp soon! Thanks for a very fun shoot. Here’s a few of my favorite shots from our session:
