Adorable Anna and her family in Pasadena

3.5 years ago I photographed Elisa & George’s wedding… and I recently got the honor to photograph their growing family in Pasadena! Meet Anna, their most adorable baby. Her smile and chubby legs were super contagious and inspiring.  They also brought her sweet Grandma and awesome dogs! Check them out!

Newly-Weds, Deonna & Travis, happily went snow inner-tubing at Suncadia Resort in Washington State the day following their wedding day .. and yes, Deonna wore her wedding gown. I can’t imagine a better way to get more use out of it!  We had perfect weather and mostly, we had a TON of fun! What a dream shoot this was for me.

Classic, Elegant & Simple | An Autumn, Seattle Wedding Celebration | Anne + Brian

My first time meeting Brian, the groom, was minutes before he saw his stunning bride, Anne. He was calm, collective & cool; anticipating their first glance in front of the Alexis Hotel downtown Seattle. I set-up the first glance alongside the hotel making sure it was clear of people. I absolutely LOVE this moment. It’s a time when brides & grooms can have an intimate moment seeing each other for the very first time on their wedding day. They can exchange sweet, loving words and even have time to shed a few tears of joy during this once in a lifetime moment. And, during this, there aren’t 200 set of eyes of them, just me from afar with a long lens capturing every second. Anne and Brian’s expressions were transparent of the love they have for each other, not just during their first glance, but also throughout the entire day. The rest of day unfolded beautifully, full of smiles & sunshine. It was brisk fall day, October 10, 2009. The autumn colors were beaming of reds, oranges and yellows which perfectly tied into the wedding day color scheme. We took the ‘formal’ shots of the wedding party near the Seattle iconic Kerry Park and met the family at the most beautiful Catholic Church called Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in the University District followed by their lovely ceremony. The reception was held at The Canal in Ballard!  So much fun. A special thanks to Melissa Parker with Amazing Events and my amazing photography assistant, Amber Brickman. Congrats Anne and Brian!! I had such awonderful time capturing your wedding. 01_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_4229 02_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_1935 03_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_1967 04_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_1985 05_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2020 06_101009_NicoleGoddard_anne_shoes 08_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2043 09_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2060 10_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2095 11_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2108 12_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2131 13_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2154 14_101009_NicoleGoddard 16_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2223 17_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2231 18_101009_NicoleGoddard_firstglance 19_101009_NicoleGoddard_FirstGlanceHug 24_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2307 26_101009_NicoleGoddard_ 25_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_4286 29_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2349 30_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_4363 31_101009_NicoleGoddard_girls 37_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2418 38_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2462 42_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_4424 43_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_4460 44_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_4469 45_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_4472 46_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_4569 47_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_4647 48_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_4665 49_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2671 50_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_4850 51_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2745 52_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2757 53_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2788 54_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_4889 55_101009_NicoleGoddard_ceremonyKiss 57_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2898 58_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_2909 59_101009_NicoleGoddard_details 63_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_3158 64_101009_reception_laughter 66_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_3332 67_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_3348 68_101009_bouquet-toss 69_101009_dancing 75_101009_NicoleGoddard_MG_3445_father_daughter_dance

Congrats Renee & Josh {4 Sweet Locations in Orange County}

Posted by on Oct 5, 2009 in Uncategorized | No Comments

Renee and Josh got married!  It was a lovely, hot, sunny day on August 29, 2009.  It all started at the Inn at Laguna where Renee slipped her gown on. Everyone was laid back and ear to ear with smiles all day long.  Josh, one of the nicest guys ever, saw his bride for the first time on an ocean beach bluff where they were serenaded with love songs by a talented, local, street singer/guitarist. We really couldn’t have timed this more perfectly with him being right there. The background melodies were the perfect addition of the big reveal. It was so sweet! The Catholic mass ceremony was held a few miles away in Laguna Beach at St. Catherine de Siena. During the ceremony, Renee got so excited that she jumped the gun and kissed Josh before the priest announced, “You may kiss your bride.” It was so endearing and all the guests, including myself, definitely enjoyed this moment. After the cermony, we took the Limo Hummer to Heisler Park for family formals and wedding party photos. It was a bit of a challenge because it was the most popular weekend of the summer and it was packed with people.  We had limited shade to work with, and a ton of direct (hot)  sun. Not really a photographer’s ideal situation, but with the help of my rockin’ photographer assistant, Chyna Chaun-Farrell, we were able to create our own shade with my translucent reflector. We then drove to the the reception venue in Rancho Santa Margarita at the Tijeras Creek Golf Course. This beutiful spot is located in rolling terrain surrounded by rugged hillsides. I was able to spend extra time capturing more photos of the bride & groom before the party got started.  The hill top pics are some of my favorites. Here, we had fantastic light; a photographer’s dream. The party was so much fun. From rock songs of Journey to saucy, booty shakin’ Latin songs, everyone danced the night away…… Congrats Renee and Josh!  Your love for each other amazes me. It’s been a such a sweet delight getting to know you over the year.

Entered my 1st photo Contest

This month, I am celebrating my first FULL year with Nicole Goddard Photography.  I’ve been shooting professionally for 8 years while holding other photography type jobs. I took the leap to fly totally solo August 2008 and haven’t really caught my breath- it’s been busy! I have loved every minute of it and continue to pinch myself. I’ve been fortunate to get travel a lot this year with my photography, including going to places like:  Mexico, Colorado, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, and even Thailand & Hong Kong. In a few weeks I’ll be flying down to Maui to photograph another fun wedding. Life’s good. For one of my many 1sts as a full-time photographer, I just entered a photo contest with Star Shooter (http://starshootercontest.org).  The proceeds will be benefiting a non-profit organization for children. So far with this contest, they have raised $4500.  I found about this via TWITTER and I am thrilled to be entering this contest. Wish me luck! So here’s the story:  A few days after photographing a wedding in Baja Mexico, I went to Cabo San Lucus for a few days to begin the 2009 off with a fresh start. While on an early morning beach stroll, I stumbled across sea turtles being hatched. I happened to have my camera with me!  WOW. Some people have to wait an entire lifetime to witness this miracle. I feel so fortunate to have been there to capture this precious moment. Here’s my photo entry: And, here’s the wedding that brought me down to Mexico. Beth & Scott’s wedding was a dream for me. PERFECT weather. Amazing families. Loving couple. Awesome colors. The beach. Yummy food. And, I even got 60% of the guests, including bride, mother of bride, mother of groom IN the pool at the end of the night.  IT WAS A PARTY!   They got married at the beautiful Cabo Surf on January 3, 2009. CONGRATS BETH & SCOTT!

Meet Sully | 3 months old

This last week was my second photo session with baby Sullivan (aka Sully). I started photographing her at 9 days old and she was like putty– I could move her in any which way;  so serene & peaceful. She’s now 3 months old and, wow, has she grown!  Sully is such an adorable, chubby, smily, loving baby girl. Her family has hired me to photograph her during this ever-changing first year of her life.  I just love seeing little ones grow. The next 2 sessions are when she’s 6 months and 1 year old!  As an extra bonus, I get to play with her older brother, Dempsey, who’s super active, fun and loves his little sister. He was more interested in playing with the glass sliding door than his other toys! See you in 3 more months, sweet pea!
